Mrs. Martin's 3rd Grade

We will take a practice STAAR Reading Test on Tuesday, January 24th and a STAAR Math Test on Wednesday, January 25th. Please encourage your child to take their time and do their very best on both of these tests.

AR Goals

January 17th-Feburary 10th
This six weeks I am giving each child their own AR goal. We have about 25 min. during school for AR reading and I would like to encourage you to read with your child at home. The more they read, the better reader they will become! Thank you for encouraging your child to become a better reader! This six weeks, I am stressing to the kids to stay above the 80 % in comprehension. To earn a pizza coupon this 6 weeks, they need to meet their goal and to stay above 80 % in comprehension. The kids did a great job of staying above 80% last six weeks, way to go kids!

Math

January 23rd-27th
This week in Math we will cover these things:
Basic Facts: Continue to work on multiplication facts
These students have made it to the vine, which means they have passed all of their timed Multiplication Tests! Way to go Abrien, Tristan, Garison, Kayleb, and Gia!
Skills: Review of concepts from past 6 weeks
